This page is for ideas and suggestions on things we can do with the wiki. MediaWiki is quite powerful and versatile (capable of managing the internet's largest encyclopedia, at least!) Whatever you imagine can probably be implemented.

Please list your suggestions below, or comment on an existing suggestion. If you're logged in, you can sign and date your posts by typing four tildes: ~~~~

Feature polls Edit

Suggested by: Wapcaplet 03:04, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

When features are requested, they are listed on the wiki as a poll. Users can add their vote to features important to them, to encourage development (and help prioritize the growing number of requested features).

Such a poll might go onto a Requested features page for discussion and voting.

Feature bounty (bug bounty) Edit

Suggested by: Wapcaplet 03:04, 13 May 2006 (UTC) (inspired by User:Friedrij)

Implement a PayPal system where users can offer monetary reward to whomever implements a desired feature (or fixes a recurring bug). Vote with your money! If a dozen users pledge a couple dollars each, it could become good incentive for developers.

Beautify the main page Edit

Suggested by: Friedrij 07:53, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

Get some nice columns going, or something to present all of that information in a smaller, more organized space. See opensuse's main page. This is tovid's first impression!
